AWC expands its cash advance program

Alberta Wheat Commission Expands FarmCash Advance Payments Program.

Starting March 15, the program will be available to producers in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, as well as those in Alberta.

“AWC firmly believes that all agricultural producers in Western Canada can benefit from the fast and efficient service that FarmCash provides,” said AWC President Todd Hames.

“We pride ourselves on the FarmCash program for continually adapting to growers’ cash flow needs and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. “

Since the program launched in the fall of 2018, FarmCash has offered Alberta producers of more than 50 agricultural products, including all major crops, livestock and honey, another competitive option to manage their farm cash flow.

The program is offered as part of the federal government’s Advance Payments Program, a program that provides Canadian farmers with marketing flexibility by providing interest-free, low-interest cash advances.

FarmCash offers growers up to $ 1 million in advances, with the first $ 100,000 interest-free and the remainder at TD prime minus 0.75 percent.

Producers can submit claims using an online application process that saves time and access funds in as little as three to five business days.
