The North Dakota State Fair today released an official statement regarding the cancellation of Kid Rock’s concert at the fair last night.

“The cancellation of the North Dakota State Fair Kid Rock Concert was a decision made by the Ward County Sheriff, State Fair management, Kid Rock management, producer of the show and the director of stage production.Due to security concerns related to high winds, lightning and severe weather in the area, the Kid Rock concert was canceled as it posed a serious security threat. people attending or organizing the event.
On Friday evening, the Ward County Sheriff’s Department posted a clarification on its Facebook page stating that the decision to cancel the Kid Rock concert was not made by the Sheriff’s Department. “The sheriff simply announced the cancellation. We didn’t cancel the show. the department said on its Facebook page.
The State Fair also explained how people can refund their tickets to the Kid Rock concert.
“The North Dakota State Fair has issued refunds to all ticket buyers who purchased their tickets on the ND State Fair website. If you purchased with a card, the money will be refunded to that card within 5 to 7 standard working days If purchased with cash, please do not discard your ticket or receipts as we will need a way to show that the specific ticket was purchased by the ticket purchaser. photo will be required for cash refunds and the ticket must match the name on the ID. If the ticket was not purchased directly from ND State Fair, you will need to contact the entity or person at from which you purchased the ticket for refund information,” the statement said.

Kid Rock was scheduled to be the opening grandstand concert at the State Fair on Friday, also the day the fair opened.
